The most fantastic reference to a dentist I’ve ever read came from Gunter Grass in his book Local Anaesthetic —the narrator referred to to his dentist as a “tooth plumber.”

The tooth plumber was not a serial killer in that book, but then again, he wasn’t on LinkedIn either.
